Abstract:
Though it is a tiny country that many would find difficult to locate on a world map, Israel is recognized as a leader in advanced technology for research and industry, and has also been cited as a potential key player in nanotechnology. This article describes Israel’s academic and industrial R&D capabilities and provides a current review of its goals, activities and general readiness in nanotechnology. Also discussed are technology transfer practices in Israel and recent changes to laws influencing the export of technology.
