Abstract:
Thriving Chinese electronics and energy storage industries present an attractive market for many U.S. nanotechnology companies. In this article, we explore U.S. export control issues and compliance requirements for U.S. nanotechnology companies looking to develop further business in China. Navigating U.S. export control regimes with respect to transactions involving Chinese customers and business partners can be difficult. We explain applicable regulatory requirements and provide guidance on ways to resolve U.S. export control challenges and compliance risks.
