Abstract:
With the progression of micro and nanotechnologies have come promises of scientific and technological development in practically all economic sectors. In the healthcare sector, the development of these new technologies, called nanomedicine, is of increasingly importance in scientific production as well as in products that are on the market. This article presents a study on the dynamics of the development of nanomedicine in Mexico. Our analysis of scientific articles presents a panorama of the evolution in the nanomedicine field, the institutions which are involved, the interdisciplinary nature, and the international collaboration. The results help us identify the main actors and collaborators of Mexico in this emerging field, highlighting notable collaborations with Latin American countries.
