Abstract:
The paper explores the potential values of the application of nanotechnology and studies the institutional framework for risk governance of nanotechnology development in India. The main focus of the paper is to address nanotechnology risks as well as identifying key players and efforts in the direction of risk assessment and management. The paper also highlights the regulatory framework at various levels and their focus areas and associated laws. The paper also explores this new technology by analyzing its potential impact on development, its socio-ethical implications, the risks involved and finally challenging legal regulation.
