Abstract:
While still in the early stages, Canada has witnessed several significant and coordinated efforts to establish an infrastructure capable of supporting a highly competitive nanotechnology industry. The significant levels of funding, collaboration and construction of state of the art facilities clearly demonstrates the likelihood that nanotechnology will thrive as an industry and as a science in Canada. While smaller in size than the United States, Canada possesses a cadre of highly trained and skilled individuals interested in nanotechnology. This highly skilled group, combined with the significant development of nanotechnology initiatives, undoubtedly makes Canada an attractive place to do business.
