Abstract:
In the race to join other countries in becoming a nanotechnologically advanced nation, India has been making changes in not just its policies, but also its outlook. Today, science and technology have been accepted as the vital ingredient for a healthy and growing economy. In this article, Praveena Chandra and Girish Narasimhan give a glimpse of the budding nanotechnology market in India. The numerous government and private initiatives make it clear that nanotechnology development is being fuelled by cutting-edge technology created in the labs of the world’s second most populous nation. A brief synopsis of the patent landscape is also given.
